Yes folks, it was good Ol’ Happisburgh again.

This time for sunset and low tide and I’d been invited here by another photographer on a weekday evening.

We wandered down the slope and along the beach and were both pondering what could we focus on?

There are the remains of a pillbox for which the tide water was splashing over so we set up to photograph it.

I spent quite a bit of time here with the following capture my best. It’s had a Nik Colour Efex filter applied although I do wonder if it’s now overcooked.

The Pillbox

I was wasn’t particularly inspired by anything else but I was very much enjoying the evening. It was a mild and warm summer evening and the sea had a greenish tinge to it.

We walked back up along the beach and up to the lighthouse to take photographs of it with hopefully a dramatic sky.

This was my best capture of the evening and I was quite pleased with it.

Like the shot on the beach, I took quite a few shots here but mostly long exposures.

For something different, I took the following shot of the lifebuoy from the top of the slope and it seemed to work better in monochrome.

And that was a wrap.

We wandered back to our cars, had a debrief then headed home.

Onwards and upwards…
