Four of us met at Caister for sunrise.

We met at the lifeboat station end as we were going to look for a steel cage that another photographer had captured in the sea.

When we parked up, we observed a steel cage was on the grass, so must’ve been retrieved from the beach and dragged in. Never mind, we were here now and Caister always provides something.

The Shoot

We made our way onto the beach and my first shot involved catching some movement in the clouds.

With hindsight, I may have overdone the pastel-style tone.

My next shot was in the opposite direction from behind the same post.

I like the shot below with the dog walker.

Walking the Dog

Doing an about-turn again, I did a few multiple exposures and below is one of the best.

A pleasing image using multiple exposures

I decided to shoot another long exposure for a moody seascape, and I think this is probably my best shot of the morning.

A couple of the chaps had decided to capture the top of the lifeboat hut which was peeking above the dunes.

Myself and the other photographer decided to copy so I did a few shots.

Nothing Special

I decided to try some ICM shots and below is probably the best of the bunch, being captured courtesy of a zoom burst.

And that was a wrap.

We met the other two back at the car park, poured our coffees and had a debrief.

I headed home and resisted the lure of Ronald and had no bacon at home either. Well, that’s bought me another ten minutes of life!

Onwards and upwards…
