A sunny Friday evening saw two of us call in at Caister-on-Sea.

I remember early in my work career, a “QDAW” or Quick Drink After Work was a thing. Probably for the best it’s now a QSAW or Quick Shoot After Work!

After a reccé, we decided to head along the beach which I think would generally be Southward towards the rocks.

I decided to set up behind the rocks using the gaps between some as a leading line to the post.

I used a long exposure (5 mins) to catch some cloud movement and this would be my best shot of the evening.

I spent quite a long time experimenting with different settings before I decided to move forward a little for an alternate shot.

I quite like the calm evening scene this image presents.

6 seconds exposure

I strolled a short distance to my left and decided to catch the amazing evening sunset sky and rocks.

Out to Sea

I decided to get the macro lens out and shot some close-ups of the seaweed on the rocks.

There was nothing outstanding but it was interesting to collect some shots.

Seaweed on Rock Montage or is it a Collage?

And that was a wrap!

A wander back to the cars through the dunes, a debrief and home was the next destination.

Onwards and upwards…
