It was back to Happisburgh again for a sunset shoot.
Having been here three times just recently, I was looking for something different this time.
We walked along the clifftop and down to the beach and I thought this shot of friends enjoying the incoming waves looked interesting from a distance.

I turned my tripod round and started looking for compositions including the time and tide bell.
I couldn’t get much that really inspired me and below is my best effort combining shapes and texture in the waves with at least a passing reference to the bell.

I was looking around when I noticed a channel of water splashing in and creating a ripple effect as the water filled the hole in the sand.
This was a complete surprise as the tide was going out. I took a chance and repositioned my tripod and got ready just in case it happened again. Luck was on my side this evening!
The water came in again and I caught the ripple as shown below.

This was a lucky capture as it did not occur again.
We decided to wander back up to the clifftop and had a good scout around to see what was on offer.
I’ve been keen for a while to try and get the field with the leading line to the lighthouse but we figured you would need to walk quite a way to get to the ideal spot.
While my fellow photographers looked to capture the curve of the edge of the field, a wide scene featuring the path and pillbox appealed to me.
The sunburst I caught was an unexpected Brucie Bonus.

I’ve had some good feedback on the image above which seems to be a little different and appealing to many viewers.
As the end of evening was approaching, I grabbed some more shots but these were disappointing compared to me previous shots.

All in all, and once again, Happisburgh offered up plenty of opportunities and I was very pleased with the output.
That’s four trips to this location recently, all with slightly different captures.
Until next time.
Onwards and upwards…
